During PRIDE month, Target partnered with Spotify to give power to voices that have often gone unheard.
We created the Sounds That Found Us program based off the insight that your favorite songs tell a story, and bring you back to a specific memory. We partnered with prominent LGBTQIA+ artists to share their personal stories of affirmation alongside the songs that inspired them most. What song reminds you of a moment you felt affirmed? Where were you? Who were you with?
Artists MNEK and Hayley Kiyoko curated an immersive playlist experience where music and storytelling blend together. Each playlist had a series of custom audio annotations that gave emotional depth to their individual experiences from coming out to their first PRIDE parade. The results surpassed all benchmarks and 100K+ minutes were streamed across two artist playlists
